Shortest model sight yet! This sight is smaller than the former N-cell battery sight (511/551) and runs on a single CR123 battery. It also has a longer battery life than the N-cell style sights. With the new single battery configuration, the XPS allows more rail space than ever, leaving more room for rear iron sights or magnifiers. Smaller, lighter and always fast; the XPS series is a great new addition.
The battery cap and latch are eliminated in this model and replaced with a simple O-ring and tethered cap. This allows to achieve a better sealing. The battery compartment is now separated from the base to allow it to hover over the delta ring of the rifle.
The XPS family of sights has six Non-Night Vision versions:
    - XPS2-0 with 65 MOA circle and 1 MOA dot reticle

The 517.A65 was developed to optimize the functionality of the HWS. The buttons have been moved from the back to the left side for instant access, allowing a magnifier or a back up iron sight to fit closely to the HWS body. This new button position allows the user to operate the HWS function switches easier than ever before. Additionally, a portion of the front base has been raised to allow the sight to fit over standard hand guards found on many M-4 or M-16 style weapons.
